I moved to the Times after eight years at the Wall Street Journal, where I most recently was East Africa correspondent based in Nairobi.

Bio.
I was born and raised in Athens, Greece, and I’ve worked as a journalist for 15 years in Europe and Africa.
I live in Brussels with my husband, researcher and author Ilya Gridneff, our son Nikolai, our daughter Aliki, and our two labradors, Rupert and Scoop.
